Now Stocking Sterling Tub/Shower Units

Snow and Jones is excited to now stock tub/shower and shower units by Sterling.  Sterling is a Kohler Company that specializes in affordable fixtures for your bathroom and kitchen.

The tub and shower units by Sterling are made of Vikrell, a sturdy composite material that is molded into the units.  It is solid throughout and has a 10 year warranty on the product for residential applications.  The units are available in a variety of sizes to fit any remodeling project.  They click together, making install a breeze.  The seams are in the corner, so you do not see them and this installation ensures that the water is channeled to the bottom of the unit and will not leak.  There is tons of storage for all your products in these units as well.

Sterling also makes very affordable toilets, including dual flush models.  They also manufacture stainless steel sinks and shower doors.  To view all available products from Sterling please visit http://www.sterlingplumbing.com/ and contact any Snow and Jones branch with any questions you may have.

Maximizing Your Budget

When entering a remodel, homeowners are often shocked at the prices of the materials needed.  A kitchen remodel consisting of cabinets, countertops, hardware, tile, sink, a faucet, and more has a lot of items and the price can add up quicker.

We recommend with any remodel that you sit down and make a list of your priority items.  Pick 3 parts of the project that are the most important to you.  For example, in your master bath remodel, your list may be:
1. Space for getting ready/larger counter space
2. A whirpool bathtub
3. A decorative accent strip of tile in the shower,

Now while you are out doing your shopping, you know what items may warrant a little more of your budget.  Knowing that you want a larger counter space means that more of your budget will go torwards the counter.  If you really want stone top, you may select a less expensive door style or finish for your cabinet to save some moeny.  Or you may still want the dressier cabinet and may chose to use a solid surface countertop.  With the decorative tile in the shower, you may decide that a simplier tile for the floor is fine.  The whirlpool tub may mean you may use a Polished Chrome finish on your faucets instead of the more expensive Brushed Nickel.

Having a list of your important items makes shopping and selecting materials much easier.  There is so much to select and it can be overwhelming.  Prioritzing will make everything seem more simple.

Residential Design and Construction Show

We had a great time exhibiting at the Residential Design and Construction Show in the New England Home booth.  The bath, designed by Ana Donahue Interiors, was amazing!  The other vendors had great products and created a really cohesive and peaceful look.  The massage therapist put everyone at ease and relived some industry stress!  Check out the blog of Stacy Kunstel, the New England Home style editor, to see more images and a description of all the materials.

2010 GasNetwork Rebates

The GasNetworks Residential 2010 rebates should be available in the next few weeks. These rebates are available for GasNetworks sponsor utility gas customers in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. Until the 2010 rebates are available, GasNetworks is honoring the 2009 rebates, so customers purchasing qualifying residential high efficiency equipment this month can submit the 2009 rebate.

Snow and Jones offers boilers, furnances, and water heaters that meet the requirements for these rebates.  You can learn more about the available rebates by visiting http://www.gasnetworks.com/  or calling a Snow and Jones branch or your contractor to see what can be done in your home.
